Production of a special casting mold for the balcony extension of a listed building in Bern. This was a valuable experience for us in the construction industry, as we see great potential in producing resource-saving negative molds for construction.
Since the balcony extension had a special shape, it was almost impossible for the timber construction company to build suitable formwork. Using Styrofoam milled to the nearest millimeter, we managed to produce a negative mold based on the 3D model. Through grinding, filling, and curing, we were able to produce the right mold for the concrete. This is a project in which we see considerable potential for the construction industry.
